Following the publication of this conspiracy work, Muslims in various countries staged mass demonstrations against the book and its author, and in a demonstration in London sat the book on fire. Imam Khomeini (ra) issued his famous fatwa on the murder of its apostate author. Two days later, the 15 Khordad Foundation set a $ 1 million reward for the murder of Salman Rushdie, which later increased to $ 3,500,000 with the release of an insulting film about the Prophet of Islam.

Following the issuance of the Imam's fatwa, the British and other European governments became angry under the pretext of supporting "freedom of expression" and in a collective decision recalled their ambassadors and charge d’affairs from Tehran. In June 2007, in a grimace to Islam and Muslims, Queen Elizabeth II awarded Salman Rushdie the title of "Knight"!

Faced with the indifference of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the European governments returned their ambassadors and charge d’affairs to Tehran after a while, but the cold relations between Europe and Iran continued for ten years.

The pretext of freedom of expression caused another scandal for them, and that was: if the freedom of expression is respected, why is it a crime to criticize and deny the "Holocaust" in Europe?! And why was the French intellectual Roger Garaudy fined 240,000 Francs and sentenced to imprisonment for several years by French courts after publishing of his book Les Mythes fondateurs de la politique israélienne (The Founding Myths of Israeli Politics) in February 1998?

Another case in which the Islamic Republic of Iran was accused of terrorist acts by the West was the Mykonos incident in Germany. In that incident, in which the Islamic Republic of Iran had no role and in which several Lebanese assassinated the leader of the disbanded Kurdistan Democratic Party, Sadegh Sharafkandi and three of his assistants, a court in Germany accused I. R. Iran of being involved in the case.

Following the case, the European Governments recalled again their ambassadors and charge d’affairs from Tehran, and continued their propaganda against the Islamic Republic of Iran for a long time. However, this time, they returned their ambassadors and charge d’affairs to Tehran earlier because of their economic interests.

These two cases gave the West an excuse to accuse the Islamic Republic of Iran of terrorist acts for more than forty years. This is while the United States and Israel have been carrying out open terrorist activities for many years, and neither any government condemned them nor recalled its ambassadors from their countries!

Here are a few examples of their brutal and blatant terrorist activities:

• The assassination of General Qasem Soleimani and Abu Mehdi al-Mohandes at the behest of US terrorist President Donald Trump at Baghdad airport. US foreign policy critic Noam Chomsky likened the assassination of General Soleimani to the assassination of US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, saying Soleimani's assassination was at least an international terrorism, if not worse.
• Rewards for killing revolutionaries: The United States has set tens of millions of dollars in rewards for killing revolutionaries in various countries or subversive activities in revolutionary organizations, some of them are as follows:

Khalil Youssef Harb, a close adviser to Lebanese Hezbollah Secretary General Seyed Hassan Nasrallah. $ 5 million reward.

Haitham Ali Tabatabai, a key Lebanese Hezbollah military leader who commanded Hezbollah special forces in Syria and Yemen. $ 5 million reward.

Talal Hamiyeh, head of Hezbollah's foreign security organization. Rewards up to $ 7 million.

Fouad Shukar, senior military affairs adviser for Seyed Hassan Nasrallah, who was a senior commander of Hezbollah forces in southern Lebanon. $ 5 million reward.

Saleh al-Arouri, one of the founders of Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas' military wing and deputy leader of Hamas' political bureau. $ 5 million reward.

Ms. Ahlam Ahmed al-Tamimi, a Jordanian Hamas agent who spent years in the prison of the Israeli regime in Jerusalem and was released as part of a prisoner exchange between Hamas and Israel. $ 5 million reward.

The US State Department awarded up to $ 15 million for information leading to disruption to the financial mechanisms of the IRGC and all its branches, including the IRGC's Quds Force.

Rewards of up to $ 10 million for information that causes disrupts Lebanon Hezbollah financial mechanisms.

The failed assassination of Venezuelan President Nikolas Maduro by an American drone that took place during his speech on Venezuelan television, but he survived. At least seven people injured in the attack and sent to hospital.

There are so many others of such examples that no need to continue here.

• Formation of ISIS, al-Qaeda, and the Taliban organizations by former US presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush, and Bill Clinton, respectively, in collaboration with Saudi Wahhabism. They all were US-backed organizations for every kind of assassinations and atrocities.

• Support and protection of the hypocritical organization (MKO), a notorious and dangerous terrorist group that by bombing the headquarters of high-ranking officials of the I. R. Iran martyred about 100 of them. It also assassinated more than 16,000 ordinary people on the streets of Tehran and other cities.

The United States, despite the fact that the Americans were very angry with them for killing some of them in Tehran before the Islamic revolution and henceforth had put them on the terrorist black list, removed them from the black list in October 2012!

(Earlier in February 2008, EU members voted in favor of removing the name of this hypocritical organization from the list of terrorist groups at a meeting in Brussels!).

There are many conspiracies of open and secret terroristic activities of the United States around the world that need to be written in an article independently.

Sheikh Ahmad Yassin, founder of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and chairman of the Gaza Islamic Assembly.

Fathi Shaqaqi, Secretary General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

Abdul Aziz Rantisi, leader of the Hamas Islamic Resistance Movement.

Emad Mughniyeh, one of the military commanders of Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Mahmoud al-Mahbouh, one of the leaders of the Hamas Islamic Resistance.

Targeted assassinations of Iranian nuclear scientists by Israel between 2009 and 2011:

Majid Shahriari.

Mustafa Ahmadi.

Massoud Ali Mohammadi.

Dariush Rezainejad.

Reza Qashqavi.

And Fereydoun Abbasi who survived.

The question now for the governments of Europe, the United Nations and all the so-called human rights organizations that have always accused the Islamic Republic of Iran as a sponsor of terrorism is: Why they have not condemned these two terrorist governments - the United States and Israel – and why they have never recalled their ambassadors from these countries for their terroristic plots, rather they have always respected them?!
